Uno-X Mobility has announced the signing of Norwegian rider Sigrid Ytterhus Haugset on a two-year contract beginning in 2026. The 26-year-old joins the team from Team Coop–Repsol, marking the next stage in her steady rise through the professional ranks.
Haugset has been one of Norway’s most consistent performers in recent seasons, earning three bronze medals at the national time trial championships and finishing second on a stage and fourth overall at the 2024 Vuelta Extremadura Féminas. She also impressed with 14th place at the Tour Down Under and 11th at Dwars door Vlaanderen, showing her ability to handle both stage races and the northern classics.
Her determination was perhaps best demonstrated at this year’s Paris–Roubaix, where she completed the race despite fracturing her hip mid-event, an effort widely noted across the peloton.
“It will be incredibly exciting to take the step up to the WorldTour,” Haugset said. “After three good and educational years, this feels like the right next step in my development. I’m very grateful for the opportunity and can’t wait to start working towards 2026. The resources and knowledge within Uno-X were an important factor in my choice. The team atmosphere looks really positive, a group that knows how to have fun while working hard, and I think that’s crucial for development.”
Haugset, who has represented Norway at the World Championships, said her Roubaix crash earlier this year gave her a new outlook. “After my crash in Roubaix, I got a new perspective. It reminded me how much I actually love racing and how motivated I am to improve.”
Uno-X general manager Thor Hushovd said the signing reflects the team’s ongoing commitment to developing home-grown talent. “Sigrid has made big steps in the past years and has shown great potential. Haugset is the latest Norwegian addition to Uno-X Mobility’s 2026 roster, bringing both proven time trial ability and resilience to the squad as it continues to strengthen its WorldTour line-up.
