Silvia Magri to joint Team Grand-Est Komugi La Fabrique in 2024

In 2024, Team Grand-Est Komugi La Fabrique will welcome the addition of Silvia Magri, an Italian cyclist with previous WorldTour experience, having previously represented Israel Premier Tech Roland. Laurent Goglione, the team’s president, expressed confidence in Magri’s capabilities, stating that while she may not currently have the level required for the WorldTour, she will be a valuable asset in the Continental ranks due to her wealth of experience.

Silvia Magri, at the age of 23, has demonstrated her potential with notable performances in the 2023 season. She secured a 3rd place finish in a stage of the Tour of Tuscany (2.2) and achieved an overall 24th position in the race. Additionally, she claimed 7th place in the Almeria Classic (1.1) and 11th place in the Stuttgart & Region Grand Prix. In the WorldTour, she achieved an 18th place finish in a stage of the Tour Down Under.

Lucas Leblond, the Director Sportif, praised Magri as a promising and versatile young cyclist, highlighting her impressive track record of top 10 finishes in Italian and Spanish semi-classics, as well as podium finishes in stages of the Tour de Burgos and the Tour de Toscane. Magri herself expressed optimism about the opportunity, hoping to make the most of it and contribute to the team’s growth.
