Tatiana Ducuara to join Massi-Tactic in 2023

Tatiana Ducuara Vuelta a Burgos 2022

The Colombian Tatiana Ducuara is to join the Spanish Massi-Tactic team next season. Ducuara became the first Colombian rider to wear a Women’s WorldTour leader’s jersey at the Vuelta a Burgos this season. She was part of the winning break that day, which didn’t secure many seconds but just enough to secure the GC lead by 6 seconds. Ducuara was the only rider in the break to have finished at the same time as stage winner Lotte Kopecky which secured her the jersey, just so long as the break stayed clear.

The Colombian spent the 2020 season on Bahraini VIB-Natural Greatness, the team probably most famous for having a jersey too similar to the men’s Bahrain McLaren team that year. She has since spent 2 years at Colombia Tierra de Atletas GW Shimano back home in her homeland. This season’s Vuelta a Colombia saw her take 5 top-10 finishes across the 6 stages with her 6th place stage finish in Burgos her best European result.

Tatiana Ducuara will hope to replicate those results on a consistent basis at Massi-Tactic. She will be supported by fellow Central/Southern American riders Andrea Ramirez of Mexico and Miryam Núñez of Ecuador. She will join the likes of Paula Patiño of Movistar as the focal point for Colombian support in the upper levels of the women’s peloton.

“Today I am overwhelmed with emotion, knowing that Massi Tactic has given me the opportunity to belong to this great team to run next season in Europe“ God is great and once again fulfilling his promises to him. Thank you Massi-Tactic for trusting me and I hope it is God giving me the support to do it in the best way.

I thank the family of Colombia Tierra de Atletas from the bottom of my heart. Thank you, simply thank you!!!! for his welcome during these two years, for his overflowing interest in my career and for the missing teachings.”
