The UCI Rio Miera-Cantabria Sport team will be at the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta 22

The UCI Rio Miera-Cantabria Deporte team has taken a great step, since it has been invited by the organization to compete in the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta 2022, which will be held between Wednesday 7 and Sunday 11 September.

In this first part of the season the team has competed to the maximum in all the races to be protagonists and get the invitation of the organization. Tests in the Spanish Cup throughout the country, abroad or in UCI races have made the Rio Miera-Cantabria Deporte proudly carry the name of the region in each test through good individual and collective results such as the sub-23 jersey of the general of the Cup of Spain that Susana Pérez recently got.

Sports Director Roberto San Emeterio was “extremely happy with the invitation to the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta. We knew that it was very complicated and for us it is a real success because getting that invitation was one of the clear objectives of the season and even more so considering that many of the stages will pass through Cantabria. After the conclusion of the Spanish Championships we have a clear goal for this second part of the season. We will work very hard to arrive in good condition at the Marina de Cudeyo exit and be able to respond on the road to the organization and the institutions that have somehow made it possible”.

Cantabria will be the protagonist in this Vuelta. On Wednesday 7 the competition will start with a team time trial in Marina de Cudeyo. The next day the race will start and finish in Colindres while on Friday 5 it will go from Camargo to Aguilar de Campoo. Saturday will be the stage between Palencia and Segovia. To conclude on Sunday, September 11, it is time for the traditional urban circuit through Madrid.
