Three Kazakh riders in the roster

Pachshenko, Saifutdinova and Umutzhanova will wear Astana’s jersey in 2020.

For the 2020 season the Astana Women’s Team will be again a UCI team registered in Kazakhstan and in the roster there will be three athletes from the Asian country. The most experienced cyclist is Natalya Saifutdinova, 31 years next February and ready to live her sixth consecutive season in the team: 2019 was not her best year and this could be the main reason of her great desire bounce back in style. On the other hand, last season gave 25-year-old Makhabbat Umutzhanova a great joy when, after having worked a lot in favor of teammates and being on the podium several times, she managed to win the National Championship of Kazakhstan for the first time in the time trial.

Completing the trio of Kazakh riders in the Astana Women’s Team squad there will be the very young 19 year old Svetlana Pachshenko, surprising winner of the National Championship road race thanks to a long breakaway: last year she made the first experiences among the élite and 2020 will be for her a season in which first of all it will be essential to learn from teammates. For Pachshenko, Saifutdinova and Umutzhanova the first big seasonal goal will be the Asian Championship which will be held in Malaysia in mid-March.
