Tom Pidcock has confirmed the expected move from Ineos-Grenadiers to the Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, a decision that starts a new chapter for the 25-year-old British rider. The Olympic and World Champion has committed to a three-year contract with the team, which is looking to establish itself as a more consistent presence at the sport’s top level.
Pidcock, who counts victories at the Strade Bianche, Amstel Gold Race, and multiple Olympic mountain bike titles among his achievements, said he was excited to join a developing team with big ambitions. “This isn’t just a change of jersey; it’s the start of something special,” Pidcock said. “The chance to work with a team that’s growing, with incredible partners and brands, is something that motivates me. I can’t wait to see what we’ll achieve together.”
Speaking about the challenges of taking the team to the top, Pidcock acknowledged it would be a gradual process but struck a confident tone. “I know the challenge that we face getting to where we want to be, but it’s an adventure, and I’m excited for it,” he said. “I love racing my bike, and I’m looking forward to making that a priority. Joining a team that believes in me and shares my vision of success makes this an incredibly important step in my career.”

We look forward to working together to achieve great things.”
Luigi Bergamo, Chairperson and R&D Director of Q36.5, also highlighted the partnership’s potential, particularly in developing the team’s innovative cycling kit. “Having Tom as part of the team gives us the opportunity to push the boundaries of what we can do with performance cycling clothing,” Bergamo said. “I can’t wait to send him his first pair of Dottore bib shorts and hear what he thinks!”
Pidcock has enjoyed a quick rise in cycling, excelling across multiple disciplines. His career highlights include victories in the U23 Giro d’Italia, Olympic mountain bike gold in Tokyo and Paris, a cyclocross world title, and a famous stage win on Alpe d’Huez in the 2022 Tour de France. His move to Q36.5 follows a successful 2024 season, capped by his second Olympic MTB gold and a dominant display at the Amstel Gold Race. Pidcock left the Ineos-Grenadiers team at the start of this week.
Pidcock will join his new teammates in January at the team’s pre-season training camp in Calpe, Spain, as they prepare for the 2025 season.
