Zoe Backstedt

Zoe Bäckstedt is a British professional cyclist who races for Canyon SRAM. A powerful multi-discipline rider, she combines elite road racing with cyclocross and has developed into one of the strongest young time-triallists in the women’s peloton. Bäckstedt won junior world titles on the road, track and in cyclocross before stepping up to the WorldTour, where she has since won major stage races and become British champion in both the road race and time-trial.

Career overview

Bäckstedt emerged as an exceptional junior, winning consecutive road race world titles in 2021 and 2022 alongside major success on the track and in cyclocross. She joined EF Education-TIBCO-SVB as a trainee in 2022 before moving to Canyon SRAM during 2023. Her first professional road victory came in the 2024 Simac Ladies Tour, where she finished third overall, and she became under-23 cyclocross world champion that winter. Bäckstedt won the Baloise Ladies Tour overall in both 2025 and 2026. Her 2026 season also included the British road race and time-trial titles, a Tour de Suisse Women stage victory, fifth at the Tour of Flanders and fourth at Dwars door Vlaanderen. She also completed her first Tour de France Femmes.
