4th place for Clara Copponi in Ronde Van Drenthe

Today the team was in the Netherlands for the Ronde Van Drenthe race, on the program for the day, 155.9 kilometers and 6 cobbled sections. Clara took 4th place in the massive sprint which took place at the finish in Drenthe.

“I made a lot of mistakes in the final of the last races so I was a little apprehensive about today’s race, because I didn’t want to miss myself. I think I learned, I knew how to place myself better but I remain mixed because I know I have strength, but on the last meters I lack the reflex to put myself in a dancer, and to bring my jump. It could clearly help me to get on the box, and I know it is possible.
So still a little disappointed, but it’s still a 4th place in my first World Tour race of the year!”
