Marlen Reusser to extend recovery after 2022 Tour de France Femmes concussion

Marlen Reusser must continue to take a break after her concussion

One week on from her crash at the Tour de France Femmes, Marlen Reusser is still dealing with the effects of the concussion she sustained. While the Swiss rider reports some gradual improvement, she continues to experience fatigue and headaches when she tries to exert herself.

The Tokyo Olympic silver medallist has been restricted to light training on the rollers, and even that must be done in a darkened room to minimise discomfort. For now, her return to racing remains on hold as she focuses fully on recovery.

Reusser’s team confirmed that she will continue to take a break from competition until she is symptom-free and can train without issues, ensuring her comeback is managed carefully to avoid any long-term effects.
