Picnic-PostNL have unveiled a youthful and versatile line-up for the 2025 Tour de France, with Oscar Onley handed the leadership role as the Dutch team targets stage success across the three weeks.

The 22-year-old Briton has emerged as one of the breakout GC talents of the season, with a stage win and fifth overall at the Tour de Suisse, as well as top-five finishes at the Tour Down Under and UAE Tour. Onley also impressed in last year’s Tour with a fifth place in Superdévoluy from the breakaway, and returns with the goal of building on that experience.

Supporting him in the hillier and mountainous stages will be Warren Barguil, riding his tenth consecutive Tour. A two-time stage winner and former polka dot jersey holder, Barguil remains a valuable engine for transitional days and tactical moves.

Sprint opportunities will fall to Tobias Lund Andresen and Pavel Bittner, both 22 and both capable of mixing it at WorldTour level. Bittner won a stage of the Vuelta a España last year, while Andresen opened his 2025 season with victory at the Surf Coast Classic. With several flat finishes in the opening week, the team is aiming to get involved early.

Frank van den Broek is back after last year’s memorable one-two finish with Bardet in Rimini, and will play a key support role alongside Tim Naberman, Sean Flynn, and Niklas Märkl. Each brings flexibility and depth, whether in breakaways, lead-outs or mountain support.

“We have a squad that’s really gelled this season and has shown it can perform together,” said team coach Matt Winston. “Our main goal is stage wins. Oscar’s recent performances show he’s in the right form to fight on the climbs, and our sprint options give us extra chances on flatter days. We’ll take it one stage at a time and back our riders to make the most of their opportunities.”

The Tour de France begins on Saturday 5th July in Lille.
