Canyon SRAM Zondacrypto has confirmed that Italian rider Soraya Paladin will remain with the team for another two seasons, extending her contract through to the end of 2027.
The 32-year-old, one of the most reliable and experienced riders in the women’s peloton, first joined the German-based WorldTour squad in 2022 and has since become a key figure both on and off the bike.
“I’m really happy to renew for another two years with the team,” Paladin said. “I really like the environment – we work well together, both with my teammates and the staff. I decided to stay because I truly believe in the team, and the team believes in me. The human side really matters to me.”
Paladin’s career began in 2012 with the Italian team Top Girls Fassa Bortolo, before she moved up the ranks with Alé Cipollini and Liv Racing. Since joining Canyon SRAM, she has ridden all four editions of the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, often in crucial support roles that helped the team to multiple classification successes.
Her consistency has become her trademark. In 2023 alone, she collected 17 top-ten finishes in WorldTour races, and across her career she has now recorded 67 top-ten results at the highest level – more than any other rider yet to win a Women’s WorldTour race.
Paladin’s attacking racing style and tactical awareness have made her one of the most respected riders in the bunch. When given opportunities, she has regularly featured on podiums, including stage top-threes at the Giro d’Italia Women in both 2024 and 2025, and second place at this year’s Navarra Women’s Elite Classic.
“I’d definitely love to win a stage at the Giro d’Italia,” she said. “I’ve come really close several times. During the seasons there are always ups and downs, but I’m very motivated to keep going in my career. I love trying to improve myself every day, to grow both as a person and as an athlete. I feel I still have a lot to give, and I enjoy sharing what I’ve learned with the younger riders.”
Canyon SRAM general manager Ronny Lauke praised Paladin’s professionalism and longevity, describing her as “a cornerstone of the team who embodies the spirit of consistency and teamwork”.
Paladin’s new contract will see her continue as a central figure in Canyon SRAM’s ambitions across both stage races and the Classics, as she chases the one achievement still missing from her résumé – a Women’s WorldTour victory.
