The UCI Continental Team NEXETIS has enjoyed an excellent first season, delivering strong performances across both road and mountain bike disciplines. However, after a detailed analysis of recent months, the team has identified a shortfall in its mountain bike coaching structure. To address this, Linda Indergand will replace Anna Wiese as part of the sporting management team, joining Edi Telser in leading the Swiss-based squad.
Since its launch just a year ago, NEXETIS has grown into one of Switzerland’s most exciting development teams. Under the guidance of Wiese and Telser, the riders have exceeded expectations, achieving stage and overall victories in UCI races, consistent podiums in mountain bike competition, and a top-ten finish at the Tour de Romandie. Highlights included impressive performances at the Tour de Suisse and multiple wins on the national scene.
An internal review of the team’s first season revealed that the required level of mountain bike support could not always be maintained, with Telser, also the Swiss national women’s road coach, frequently stepping in to fill the gap. As both Wiese and Telser are specialists in road racing, the team’s leadership agreed that strengthening the mountain bike side would be essential for continued progress.
From the 2026 season, Olympic bronze medallist Linda Indergand will join NEXETIS to take charge of the mountain bike programme while providing selective support on the road. Her appointment marks a key strategic move to reinforce the team’s dual-discipline structure.
Thomas Peter, Chairman of the Board of Directors, commented:
“We are delighted that Linda Indergand, a well-known figure in Swiss cycling, has joined NEXETIS. At the same time, we regret that we are unable to continue our collaboration with Anna Wiese. She has done valuable groundwork and played a major role in the team’s success over the past year. We thank her sincerely for her great commitment.”
Preparations for the upcoming season are already well underway, with a team presentation planned in the coming weeks to unveil the 2026 line-up.
