Liv Racing Xstra saved the best for last in the Bloeizone Fryslân Tour. The team put down some solid performances in the last races and today it was rewarded with a beautiful stage win.

The final stage of the Bloeizone Fryslân Tour started and finished in Drachten. Yesterday Wim Stroetinga predicted the stage win would finish in a bunch sprint, but the team had to alert with the wind. Several splits and attacks came during the final stage, but in the final kilometres all came back together. In a thrilling bunch sprint it was Rachele Barbieri who finished of the hard work of the team with a stage win.

Winner Barbieri was over the moon after her win. “I’m super happy! The team was fantastic today, they worked really hard and all believed in me. I aso felt a lot of confidence and support from Wim. So I am really happy to finish it off this way. It is really a win of the whole team”, the Italian Liv Racing Xstra told after the podium ceremonie.

Wim Stroetinga echoed the words of Barbieri. “The whole team did well today. Our sprint train is really getting on the rails. Today all girls were there in the finale and Rachele finished the job. This win is one of the whole team. We are really satisfied with this result and the way the team performed.”
