Career overview

Barbieri became track world champion in the scratch race in 2017 and returned to the top of international track cycling in 2022, winning the European omnium and Madison titles. That season also marked her strongest period on the road, with victory on the final stage of the Bloeizone Fryslân Tour, third at Scheldeprijs and bronze in the European road race behind Lorena Wiebes and Elisa Balsamo. She later joined the Team DSM organisation and continued as a sprint and Classics specialist at Women’s WorldTour level.
