Alison Jackson out of UAE Tour Women with broken scaphoid after stage 1 crash

Alison Jackson will not continue in the 2025 UAE Tour Women after scans confirmed a broken scaphoid following her crash on stage 1. The Canadian finished 11th on the opening stage but was caught in the large mid-race pile-up that left her visibly injured, with torn kit and abrasions on her back.

Despite finishing the stage, further examination revealed the fracture in her wrist, ruling her out of stage 2. She is undergoing additional tests to determine whether surgery will be required.

Jacksonโ€™s withdrawal leaves EF Education-Oatly down to just four riders for the remaining three stages: Cedrine Kerbaol, Nina Berton, Nina Kessler, and Alexandra Volstad.
