Amandine Fouquenet has extended her contract with Pauwels Sauzen-Altez Industriebouw through the end of 2030, securing her place in the Belgian cyclocross team well beyond the original deal that was due to expire at the end of 2028.
The agreement will continue under a new team name from 1 January 2027, when Pauwels Sauzen-Altez Industriebouw becomes Skylux-Altez Industriebouw. Skylux takes over as title sponsor while Altez Industriebouw remains in place, with the new naming agreement also running through 2030.
Fouquenet only joined the team at the start of 2026, but a strong second half of the 2025-26 cyclocross season quickly changed the shape of that deal. Wins, World Cup podiums and a fifth place at the World Championships have now been rewarded with two additional seasons.
Fouquenet turned a late contract search into a breakthrough winter
The extension is a sharp contrast with the uncertainty Fouquenet faced only a few months before joining Pauwels Sauzen. Late in 2025 she was still without a contract for the following year despite a strong run of cyclocross results, including a World Cup podium in Namur.
ProCyclingUK covered her original move to Pauwels Sauzen-Altez Industriebouw after that contract search eventually ended with an agreement through 2028.
She then won immediately on her debut for the team at Superprestige Gullegem in January. Fouquenet followed that with second at the French national championships, then three consecutive third places in World Cup races at Benidorm, Maasmechelen and Hoogerheide.

At the World Championships she finished fifth, before taking another major win at Superprestige Middelkerke a week later. That result gave Pauwels Sauzen another clear indication that the form shown before her arrival had carried straight into her new environment.
Middelkerke win underlined the progress
Fouquenet’s victory in Middelkerke was particularly significant because it came at the end of a run in which she had repeatedly finished among the best riders in the field. She had already shown she could podium in World Cups, but winning a Superprestige round confirmed that those performances were not isolated.
Her 2025-26 winter also included third at Parkcross Maldegem and fifth in the Brussels round of the X²O Badkamers Trofee. Taken together, those results made her one of the most consistent riders in the closing weeks of the season.
The team have now acted early rather than allowing her contract situation to become a talking point again. Extending through 2030 adds two years to the original agreement and ties her future to the same end date as Skylux’s title sponsorship.
Pauwels Sauzen becomes Skylux-Altez Industriebouw in 2027
The contract announcement also sits within a wider change for the team. Pauwels Sauzen will end almost a decade as title sponsor at the end of 2026, with Belgian daylight-solutions company Skylux taking over from 1 January.
Altez Industriebouw remains as co-title sponsor, meaning Fouquenet will continue in the same sporting structure even though the team name changes to Skylux-Altez Industriebouw Cycling Team.
The new sponsor agreement also runs through 2030, giving the team unusually long-term stability by cyclocross standards. Fouquenet’s contract now matches that horizon and makes her one of the riders around whom the women’s side can be built.
Leonie Bentveld remains another major part of that group after winning the under-23 world and European titles, while Fouquenet provides an established elite rider who has already shown she can win against the strongest fields on the calendar.
Fouquenet secured through the end of 2030
Fouquenet’s original agreement ran through the end of 2028. The new extension adds 2029 and 2030, securing her with the team through the end of the decade.
The contrast with late 2025 is sharp. Fouquenet went from searching for a contract to winning twice in her first weeks with Pauwels Sauzen-Altez Industriebouw, taking three consecutive World Cup podiums and finishing fifth at the World Championships.
From 2027 those results will be chased in Skylux-Altez Industriebouw colours, but the sporting structure behind Fouquenet remains the same. The contract now guarantees that relationship through the end of the decade.
