Career overview
Santesteban has been one of the Basque Country’s strongest modern road riders, building a long career around climbing, consistency and stage-race depth. She won the Spanish national road race title in 2013 and later became a regular presence in the biggest women’s stage races. Her strongest international results include 7th overall at the 2020 Giro Rosa, 3rd overall at the 2021 Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l’Ardèche, 6th overall at the 2022 Challenge by La Vuelta, 8th overall at the 2023 Tour de France Femmes and 10th overall at the 2023 Giro Donne. She returned to a Basque team with Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi from 2024.
