Annemiek van Vleuten returns: on Wednesday 30th, in Dwars Door Vlandeeren

Annemiek van Vleuten returns. Having completed her first block of the year in height on Mount Teide, the best cyclist in the world will once again wear a bib number in Through Flanders, a test where she defends her brilliant 2021 victory and whose route has changed a lot compared to then.

Hard and cobbled sections such as Taaienberg or Steenbeekdries have been removed, and the hardness has been distributed much more throughout the route… and released in much of the final section. Leaving and ending in Waregem, ten hills and five cobbled sections are included, highlighting the final steps through Doorn (km 91) and Herlegemstraat (108 km) and the climb to Holstraat, just eight from the conclusion, the last point of attack together with Knokteberg (km 68) and Ladeuze (km 82).
