Audrey Cordon-Ragot returns on the French TT throne

Strong performance of the Breton in the National Championship

For the fifth time Audrey Cordon Ragot is crowned French TT Champion. After two years of absence from the national throne of the race against the clock, the Breton regains the place she occupied from 2015 from 2018.

โ€œIt was obviously a great day and a win to be proud of. I liked the course right from the first ride and found it suitable. I knew I could win and it was just a matter of having the right legs to do it. The heat was an important variable that I was able to manage in the best possible way. Iโ€™m very happy, for the win and for the performanceโ€.

Audrey won ahead of Juliette Labous and Cedrine Kerbaon, covering the distance of 26.3kms in 38โ€™11โ€, marking a remarkable gap of 30โ€ณ from second and 1โ€™18โ€ from third.

โ€œDue to different problems, I had not been able to win this race with the Trek-Segafredo jersey until now. It was getting frustrating. Now I can celebrate this fifth title and, from tomorrow, I can focus on trying to repeat it in the road race. Now, I want to enjoy this victory to the fullestโ€.
