British Cycling has unveiled its latest partnership with Italian cycling apparel brand Alé, marking the end of an eight-year relationship with previous supplier Kalas. The four-year agreement will see Alé provide the performance kit for the Great Britain Cycling Team (GBCT) across all seven Olympic and Paralympic disciplines, as well as non-Olympic events, national series, and championship winners.

Stephen Park, Performance Director for GBCT, explained that the collaboration aligns with the team’s ambitions for the future. “As GBCT, we are renowned for our world-leading training and competition apparel,” Park stated. “We needed a partner that could not only meet our current performance level but work with us to continuously develop these standards as we start our preparations for LA 2028. Alé have already expressed their commitment and excitement in working with our in-house team to progress further innovations in fabric, design and aerodynamics.”

The new race kit features a modernised white design with a distinctive red, white, and blue stripe on the left of the chest and right arm. The iconic ‘GBR’ logo appears on the chest, paired with navy shorts. The training kit, meanwhile, reintroduces a classic navy look with a triangle-based tonal pattern and stealth branding. The team’s ‘inspire the nation’ mantra is discreetly written on the inside collar of the jerseys.

Alé CEO Alessia Piccolo celebrated the collaboration as an exciting milestone for the brand. “For Alé, it’s a huge honour to be the Official Partner of British Cycling,” Piccolo said. “For over three decades, we have equipped champions, bringing innovation, passion and high-quality apparel to the roads of the WorldTour. This new collaboration with the Great Britain Cycling Team represents a unique opportunity to continue creating increasingly high-performance garments across all of GBCT’s disciplines.”

British Cycling’s Chief Commercial Officer, Darren Henry, highlighted the commercial opportunities presented by the deal. “We are delighted to be entering into this new chapter with Alé as our official on-bike clothing partner for the next four years. We welcome them into the growing portfolio of commercial partners at British Cycling and we look forward to working with them to help grow their brand in the UK market,” Henry said.
