CCC-Liv hopes to continue the strong performance of the Giro Rosa in the Flèche Wallonne. The team will start in Belgium with the same six riders as in the Italian stage race: Soraya Paladin, Sofia Bertizzolo, Pauliena Rooijakkers, Ashleigh Moolman-Pasio, Sabrina Stultiens and Marianne Vos.
Sports director Jeroen Blijlevens: “We are strong across the board which has become apparent over and over again. And we have benefited from it. However, it is not certain that this strong squad can also be successful in Belgium. The Flèche Wallonne is a specific and difficult race. In recent years, the final climb of the Mur de Huy has always been the decisive place. Some competing teams will have strong irons in the fire in anticipation of this climb. We do not give up in advance and will try to make use of all possibilities in terms of tactics, to draw the race towards us. Confidence is high and the team is in a positive flow.”
