Cecilie extends until 2024

Cecilie extends her contract with the team until 2024

Present in the FDJ SUEZ Futuroscope team since 2020, the 26-year-old Danish woman has long been considered a great hope of international cycling. In 2019, she climbed on three World Tour podiums and closed the 2020 and 2021 seasons by placing 9th in the world individual ranking. This season, it’s already second place on the Volta in the Comunitat Valenciana, 3rd in Durango, and many top 10s on the biggest deadlines of the calendar.

Cecilie: “I am very happy to open a new chapter in our common history. We have already had a great journey together. Every year we grow and improve. The whole team improves and we improve as an individual. We’ve already grown a lot since I’ve been here and we aim to become even better in the future. It’s super exciting to be a part of it. So it was an easy decision for me to extend with the FDJ SUEZ Futuroscope team.”

Stephen Delcourt, general manager of the FDJ SUEZ Futuroscope: “We are very proud to continue the adventure with Cécilie, she embodies through her leadership on and off the bike the new generation of women’s cycling. We want to accompany Cécilie to the heights and next week on the roads of the Tour de France Women with Zwift. The arrival of SUEZ as a co-sponsor alongside our historical partners allows us to offer longer contracts to our cyclists and to build a relationship in the long term, and on a personal basis to allow them to better understand their personal project.”
