Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta: Marlen Reusser is second in the ITT and remains leader

Another great performance by Marlen Reusser of the Alé BTC Ljubljana team at the Ceratizit Challenge by La Vuelta. The Swiss road and ITT champion, today, finished in second place the second stage, a ITT uphill of 7,3 km that took place at the ski resort of Cabeza de Manzaneda, beaten only by the Dutch and Olympic time trial champion Annemiek Van Vleuten (Movistar Team), who did a time 20 seconds better than her.

Another high level performance for the Swiss athlete who confirms her excellent form and full awareness of her own means. With this good result, Reusser also keeps the red jersey of the leader of the general classification after two stages. Now she leads with 1’36” of advantage on the Dutch Pauliena Rooijakkers (Liv Racing) and 1’39” just on Annemiek Van Vleuten. Tomorrow third demanding stage of 107,9 km with start again from the ski resort of Cabeza de Manzaneda and arrival in Pereiro de Aguiar.
