Julie Van De Velde
Julie Van de Velde is a Belgian professional cyclist who races for AG Insurance-Soudal. A strong all-rounder with particular ability in hilly stage races and long breakaways, she has spent almost a decade competing at the highest level of women’s road cycling. Van de Velde has represented Belgium at two Olympic Games and multiple World Championships, while her best individual results include victory at the Flanders Ladies Classic and second overall at Gracia-Orlová.

Career overview
Van de Velde began her professional career with Lotto Soudal Ladies and enjoyed her breakthrough season in 2019, winning the Flanders Ladies Classic and finishing second overall at Gracia-Orlová. She joined Team Jumbo-Visma Women in 2021 before moving to Plantur-Pura, where she finished sixth overall at the 2022 Tour of Scandinavia. Van de Velde remained with the organisation as it became Fenix-Deceuninck before joining AG Insurance-Soudal in 2024. Her career has also included eighth overall at the 2024 Tour Down Under and appearances at the Giro d’Italia Women and Tour de France Femmes. Internationally, she represented Belgium at both the Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 Olympic Games and has been a regular selection for major championships.
