Career overview

Holden, also known as Lizzie Holden, developed from the Isle of Man cycling scene into a WorldTour-level road rider. She began her professional career with Drops before spells with Bizkaia-Durango, Le Col-Wahoo and UAE Team ADQ. Her strongest results came in time-trials and stage races, including the 2023 British national time-trial title, 3rd in the 2022 British national time-trial, 4th in the 2022 British road race, 4th overall at the 2022 Lotto Belgium Tour and 7th overall at the 2022 Thüringen Ladies Tour. Holden raced the Tour de France Femmes and Giro d’Italia Women, then retired at the end of the 2025 season after several difficult injury-hit years.
