Career overview
Van Loy was a long-serving Belgian cyclocross specialist who remained a consistent elite presence well into her forties. She twice finished 2nd at the Belgian national cyclocross championships, in 2016 and 2017, and was regularly inside the top 10 at major European and World Cup races. Her international results included podiums at races such as the Internationale Sluitingsprijs Oostmalle, GP Hasselt, Cyclocross Leuven and Polderscross Kruibeke, along with repeated appearances at the Cyclocross World Championships. Van Loy also raced on the road at points in her career but was best known for her winter consistency, technical strength and longevity in Belgian cyclocross.
