Career overview
Newsom came into professional cycling later than most, balancing racing with family life and a background as a pianist. She raced on the road with Team TIBCO-Silicon Valley Bank and EF Education-TIBCO-SVB, gaining experience at the Giro d’Italia Donne, Tour de France Femmes and major North American races. Her strongest road results included 5th in the 2022 United States national time-trial championship, 6th in the same event in 2019 and 2021, and the mountains classification at the 2019 Colorado Classic.
