Emma Norsgaard returns at the Simac Ladies Tour (24-29 August)

After a well-deserved rest after the Giro Donne and the Olympic Games, Emma Norsgaard returns to competition with the Movistar Team on the Simac Ladies Tour, a race that is always fast, tight and very technical. This test is what until 2019 was known as the Boels Ladies Tour, and it is probably the closest to a national tour in the Netherlands. It is one of the last three WorldTour stage races that the ‘telephone team’ will ride in 2021.

The route adjusts quite well to the characteristics of the ‘Danish Rocket’, with two time trials: a prologue of just over 2 km in Ede (Tuesday 24) and a CRI of 22 km in Gennep (Thursday 26), both perfect for specialists. The other stages, although the wind, speed and street furniture can select the peloton, clearly lend themselves to a massive sprint, with arrivals in Hardenberg (Wednesday 25), Weert (Friday 27) and, already on more winding terrain at the end of the week, in Sweikhuizen (Saturday 28) and Arnhem (Sunday 29).
