FDJ-Suez has announced a new partnership with Specialized, the California-based cycling brand, starting in 2025. The collaboration is set to deliver advanced technology and equipment to the French squad as it aims to continue its rise in the women’s peloton.
General Manager Stephen Delcourt described the partnership as a significant step for the team. “We are extremely proud to engage in this collaboration with Specialized, an absolute reference in the world of cycling. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity for our team to reach new heights by combining our strengths and expertise to achieve our ambitious goals. It’s a relationship built on trust, driven by innovation, and dedicated to the aspirations of our athletes and the cycling world as a whole,” he said.
Scott Jackson, Leader of S-Racing at Specialized, praised FDJ-Suez’s bold vision for the sport. “FDJ-Suez immediately impressed us with its dynamic international approach to racing, bold vision for the future, and its rich history in French cycling. Together, we are eager to elevate the future of women’s cycling, drive innovation, and share our passion to move the sport forward globally,” he said.
A team on the rise
FDJ-Suez, which began in 2006, has grown into one of the leading teams in women’s cycling. Initially created to support grassroots talent, the team has transformed into a WorldTour outfit with major victories, including the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, Giro Donne, and Vuelta Femenina. It has also excelled in one-day races such as Liège-Bastogne-Liège and La Flèche Wallonne.
The 2025 season will mark the 20th anniversary of the team, and the partnership with Specialized aligns with FDJ-Suez’s ambitions for continued success. The team will also welcome high-profile signings such as Demi Vollering, the 2023 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift winner, and Juliette Labous, the 2025 French road champion, alongside established climber Evita Muzic.
Specialized, founded by Mike Sinyard in 1974, is known for its focus on innovation and performance, providing cutting-edge bikes and equipment for professional teams. For FDJ-Suez, the collaboration signals an opportunity to tap into the brand’s technical expertise to stay competitive at the highest level. With Vollering, Labous, and Muzic set to lead the team in 2025, FDJ-Suez looks ready to make its mark once again, backed by the technical support of one of the most renowned names in cycling.
