Markus developed through Parkhotel Valkenburg before joining Team SD Worx in 2023, later continuing with the squad as Team SD Worx-Protime. She is a strong Classics and breakaway rider, particularly suited to cobbles, gravel sectors and exposed Dutch and Belgian racing.
