Hayley Simmonds
Hayley Simmonds is a British cyclist and two-time national time-trial champion who has built a career around her strength against the clock. After competing for a succession of UCI road teams across Europe, she moved towards gravel racing with Ribble Outliers, combining an international gravel programme with selected time-trials. Her career highlights include British time-trial titles in 2015 and 2016 and a bronze medal in the individual time-trial at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.

Career overview
Simmonds switched from rowing to cycling while studying at the University of Cambridge and quickly established herself as one of Britain’s leading time-trial specialists. She won the British national time-trial title in 2015 and successfully defended it in 2016, while also setting notable domestic records against the clock. Her international road career included spells with UnitedHealthcare, WNT, BTC City Ljubljana, Ciclotel and CAMS-Basso. One of her biggest international results came at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, where she took bronze in the individual time-trial. After racing for AWOL O’Shea and Doltcini O’Shea in 2023 and 2024, Simmonds changed focus by joining Ribble Outliers for 2025, taking her endurance and time-trial abilities into gravel racing while continuing to compete selectively against the clock.
