Hess Cycling Team has confirmed a new three-year partnership with OFX, a global leader in international money transfers, providing the all-female team with the financial backing to compete at the national and international levels. The deal, set to begin ahead of the 2025 season, marks a key moment for both the cycling team and the international payments company.
Rolf Hess, owner of the Hess Cycling Team, expressed his excitement about the partnership. “We are incredibly excited to partner with OFX,” he said. “Their commitment to excellence and innovation aligns perfectly with our team’s values and goals. This sponsorship will not only help us compete at the highest levels but also inspire our athletes to push their limits and achieve their best.”
The sponsorship deal with OFX will offer more than just financial support; the team will also benefit from OFX’s foreign exchange and payment services. This will enable Hess Sports Group to securely manage international payments without the need for excessive bank fees, further solidifying the team’s operations.
Maeve McMahon, President of OFX EMEA, was equally thrilled about the partnership, noting its potential impact. “We’re delighted to support the Hess Sports Group and Hess Cycling, an all-female team that aligns with our values of diversity and inclusion,” she said. “OFX helps businesses grow by working with them, supporting them with exceptional customer service. We’re looking forward to helping Hess Cycling go from strength to strength.”
After the unfortunate demise of the Drops Cycling run team, Hess Cycling is the highest-ranked British team in the women’s peloton in 2024. Marjolein van’t Geloof, Rotem Gafinovitz and Nicole Frain have been their highest-scoring riders this year. Van’t Geloof has confirmed that she will ride for Arkea-B&B Hotels from 2025 however.
