Julian Alaphilippe has signed a three-year contract with Tudor Pro Cycling starting from 2025. This announcement follows his widely expected departure from Soudal-Quickstep after 12 seasons with the team.
The move was confirmed on Monday morning, aligning with earlier rumours that a deal was close to being finalised in August. This signing adds to a series of notable recruits for the Swiss team, including Marc Hirschi from UAE Team Emirates.
Alaphilippe’s exit from Soudal-Quickstep comes after a turbulent year between the French two-time world champion and team manager Patrick Lefevere. Despite the rocky relationship, Lefevere had expressed his intention to extend Alaphilippe’s contract even as rival teams showed interest.
