Linda Zanetti dominates the sprint to win Vuelta CV Féminas 2025

2025 Volta Comunitat Valenciana Feminas Zanetti

Linda Zanetti stormed to victory in the Vuelta CV Féminas 2025, winning the sprint in dominant fashion after a controlled race that always looked destined for a fast finish. The Swiss rider from Uno-X Mobility launched early and never looked back, crossing the line with a comfortable margin ahead of Jelena Erić and Daria Pikulik.

UEarly break attempts neutralised

From the outset, the peloton maintained a steady rhythm, with a few riders testing their legs with attacks. Vera Tieleman and Sigrid Ytterhus Haugset were among those who tried to force an early move, but their efforts were quickly shut down. Agua Marina Espínola also attempted a long-range effort, though the teams of the sprinters were having none of it.

With the race firmly controlled, any hopes of a repeat of last year’s solo victory by Cédrine Kerbaol were extinguished. Instead, teams like Movistar and Uno-X Mobility positioned themselves at the front, setting up their fast finishers for the final showdown.

Steels tries, but Zanetti dominates

Approaching the final kilometre, Claire Steels made a bold move, launching an attack to try and disrupt the expected sprint. However, her effort was quickly reeled in as the sprinters lined up for the finish.

Zanetti hit the front with 300 metres to go, powering through the final bend and opening up a significant lead. Behind her, Jelena Erić and Daria Pikulik fought for the remaining podium spots but had no answer to the Swiss rider’s speed. Zanetti had enough time to ease up before the line, celebrating a commanding victory after 104 kilometres of racing.
