Career overview
Steels came to professional cycling unusually late, moving from running and duathlon into the road peloton after building a sporting life around training, coaching and endurance work. She raced for Sopela Women’s Team from 2020 to 2022, then stepped up with Israel Premier Tech Roland in 2023, where her climbing and time-trial ability helped earn a move to Movistar Team. Her strongest results include victory at the 2023 reVolta, 8th overall at the 2023 UAE Tour Women, 2nd in the 2024 British national time-trial championship and top-30 finishes in Women’s WorldTour races. Steels joined Movistar Team in 2024 and remained with the squad through 2026.
