The Faun Tour Femmes takes place from 10 to 13 September 2026, bringing four days of racing across the Ardèche and Drôme with a strong mix of WorldTour riders, experienced climbers and developing French talent.
The race is the new identity of the former Tour Cycliste Féminin International de l’Ardèche rather than an entirely new event. Its 2026 edition covers 476.5km across four stages, beginning with Guilherand-Granges to Boffres before circuit-style stages around Dieulefit, Tournon-sur-Rhône and Peyrus.
The final start list contains 84 riders across 15 teams and selections. Lidl-Trek bring one of the strongest squads with Niamh Fisher-Black, Gaia Realini, Ricarda Bauernfeind and Amanda Spratt, while AG Insurance-Soudal have Justine Ghekiere, Urška Žigart and Sarah Gigante.
Gigante is one of the most interesting names on the list. The Australian will return to racing at the Faun Tour after 403 days away following the femur fracture that interrupted her 2025 season and a second operation during her recovery. She has also extended her AG Insurance-Soudal contract through 2027.

Lidl-Trek have several possible leaders rather than one obvious option. Fisher-Black is capable of targeting the overall classification, while Gaia Realini remains one of the strongest pure climbers in the field. Bauernfeind and Spratt give the team further options if the race becomes aggressive well before the final climbs.
FDJ United-SUEZ have Juliette Berthet and Évita Muzic alongside Eva van Agt, while Team SD Worx-Protime include Mischa Bredewold and Nienke Vinke. Bredewold offers the team a different way to win on less selective terrain, with Vinke better suited to a harder general classification battle.
AG Insurance-Soudal’s depth is similarly obvious. Justine Ghekiere and Žigart can both handle repeated climbing, while Gigante’s condition will be closely watched after such a long absence. There should be no need to place immediate GC expectations on the Australian, particularly with several established options around her.
Movistar arrive with Sara Martín, Francesca Barale and Claire Steels, while Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi are led by Usoa Ostolaza, with Yuliia Biriukova and Paula Patiño also included.
The France selection is another strong part of the field. Marion Bunel leads a young six-rider squad alongside Ema Comte, Julie Bego, Titia Ryo, Amandine Muller and Nina Lavenu.
