Justine Ghekiere
Justine Ghekiere is a Belgian professional cyclist who races for AG Insurance-Soudal. A specialist climber known for aggressive racing and long-range attacks, she took an unconventional route into the professional peloton after only beginning competitive road cycling in her mid-20s. Ghekiere has since become one of Belgium’s leading stage racers, winning a Tour de France Femmes stage, mountains classifications at both the Tour and Giro d’Italia Women, and the Belgian national road race title.

Career overview
Ghekiere began racing relatively late after discovering cycling more seriously during the Covid-19 pandemic and quickly progressed into the professional peloton. She raced for Bingoal Casino-Chevalmeire and Plantur-Pura before joining AG Insurance in 2023, immediately winning the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana overall. Her breakthrough at Grand Tour level came in 2024, when she won the mountains classification at both the Giro d’Italia Women and Tour de France Femmes, adding a memorable solo Tour stage victory at Le Grand-Bornand. Ghekiere continued her rise in 2025 with a stage victory and second overall at the Tour of Norway before becoming Belgian road race champion in Binche. She remained a key climbing option for AG Insurance-Soudal throughout the 2026 season.
