Liv Racing Xstra concludes Spanish racing block

With the final stage of the Vuelta a Burgos Feminas the Spanish racing block of Liv Racing Xstra came to an end.

Liv Racing Xstra started on a high note in the Vuelta a Burgos with a second place of Tereza Neumanova in the first stage. In the second stage the team was again prominent in the front in the chase behind a breakaway. Neumanova finished that stage just outside the top-10. On day three it was Marta Jaskulska who carried the flag for the team. She went in a breakaway at 55 km from the finish, but this group never got a big advantage. With 33 km to go Jaskulska and her companions were reeled in. The last stage finished on top of Lagunas de Neila. On that final climb the race exploded and the riders battled for the stage and overall win. Quinty Ton did a good job on this hard climb, finishing 24th.

Sports director Giorgia Bronzini looked back at the Vuelta a Burgos and the other Spanish races. “I am happy with how Burgos went. The second place for Tereza in the opening stage was a big result for us. Also during the other days the riders were really committed to make it a good race. In the second stage we were leading the chase behind the escapees. Yesterday Marta was in the breakaway and today Quinty and Jeanne showed themselves on the final climb. Quinty really put in a great effort there to finish inside the top-25. At the end of 20 days in Spain I am happy. The girls never gave up, tried to show themselves and showed progression in their condition after all the hard days.”
