The Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar is the first of five Spanish races in which Liv Racing Xstra will participate this month.
Liv Racing Xstra will bring five riders to the start of Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar. The Spanish one day race over 112,3 km contains several climbs. The summit of the last ascent is at 12,3 km from the finish line. Marta Jaskulska, Jeanne Korevaar, Tereze Neumanova, Katia Ragusa en Silke Smulders take the start fort he purple team.
Smulders had a hard crash in Paris-Roubaix and suffered with pain in her lower back afterwards. The Dutch rider missed some races, but is now at the start line again. “After some days of rest after the crash I restarted my training. First only indoor and when that felt good I could train outside again. The long endurance rides went good, but interval training was still quite painful for my back. I hope to gain some race rhythm again on Sunday and hope I won`t have pain at my back, so I can look forward to the next races”, Smulders said.
