The second stage of the 2025 Setmana Ciclista Valenciana sees more climbing than yesterday’s opener but the last categorised climb comes around 55km from the finish line. That will give sprinters plenty of time to get back on terms with anyone who has gone clear and after yesterday’s result that might be how it plays out. With Demi Vollering getting a gap on GC, plus Marlen Reusser and Anna van der Breggen also getting a gap over the rest of the peloton, there is less incentive for someone to take a flyer today. It feels like a small group might remain after the summit of the Alto Salt del Cavall but if the teams with sprinters can get organised quickly, then they should be able to get back on terms to contest the win today.
