Lucia Gonzalez Blanco

Lucía González Blanco is a Spanish cyclist who races for Nesta-MMR Cycling Team and specialises in cyclocross while also competing selectively on the road, gravel and mountain bikes. One of Spain’s most experienced cyclocross riders, she has collected numerous national titles and international victories during a career spanning more than 15 years. González has also raced extensively on the road, including multiple appearances at the Giro d’Italia Women, before increasingly focusing on off-road competition.

Career overview

González turned professional on the road with Lointek in 2010 while simultaneously developing into one of Spain’s leading cyclocross riders. She later joined Bizkaia-Durango and remained with the team until its closure in 2023, recording national championship podiums and competing in major European stage races. Cyclocross has increasingly become the central focus of her career, with González winning multiple Spanish elite titles and numerous UCI races for the Nesta organisation. She finished second in the Spanish championship in both 2025 and 2026 and placed 18th at the 2026 World Championships in Hulst. González has also broadened her programme into gravel and cross-country mountain biking while remaining a prominent figure in Spanish cyclocross.
