Mathilde Huot will join St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93 for the 2027 season, stepping up from Team Abadie-Magnan after a year in the French Continental ranks.
The 21-year-old Canadian arrives with a profile built around time trialling and selective one-day racing. Her clearest result of 2026 came at the Canadian National Championships, where she finished second in the under-23 individual time trial behind Alexandra Volstad.
Huot described the move as an opportunity to keep developing while contributing immediately to the team. “I’m incredibly grateful for the team’s trust and the opportunity to race at the highest level,” she said, adding that she wants to learn, improve and help the squad succeed.
Huot steps up after a solid 2026 season
Huot spent 2026 with Team Abadie-Magnan, returning to UCI Continental racing after a season with KDM-Pack. She started the year with 18th at Clásica de Almería and later finished 13th overall at the Tour du Haut Limousin Féminin, alongside a programme that included the Vuelta a Extremadura Femenina, Navarra Women’s Elite Classic and Tour Féminin International des Pyrénées.
At the Canadian championships she backed up her under-23 time-trial silver with 15th in the elite road race. That combination fits the picture St Michel general manager Stéphan Gaudry gave in the announcement, highlighting Huot’s ability against the clock as one of the reasons for bringing her into the squad.
Gaudry called Huot “a promising young athlete” and pointed directly to her Canadian U23 time-trial silver as evidence of the qualities St Michel believe they can develop further.

Huot had already put together a useful run of international results before joining Abadie-Magnan. Racing with KDM-Pack in 2025, she placed inside the top 10 at the Tour de Gatineau and finished 11th at the Maryland Cycling Classic Women.
Those performances showed that she could be competitive in hard one-day races before returning to a full UCI Continental programme. She also raced in Europe through 2025, giving her more experience of the faster positioning and deeper fields she faced on a more regular basis this season.
The move to St Michel is therefore less about a sudden breakthrough than the next step in a progression that has been fairly steady over the past two years. Her time-trial result gives her one clear strength to build around, while her road results suggest she is not restricted to racing against the clock.
St Michel continue building towards 2027
Huot joins a St Michel-Preference Home-Auber93 squad that has been steadily shaping its 2027 roster. The French team stepped up to UCI Women’s ProTeam level in 2026 and has continued adding riders capable of contributing across a broader international calendar.
Recent business has included the signing of Cristina Tonetti on a two-year deal, while riders including Caroline Wreszin, Elyne Roussel and Heidi Franz have already been confirmed for next season.
The team’s Canadian links are also well established. Alison Jackson and Clara Emond have both been part of the squad, while Premier Tech joined as a major sponsor ahead of 2026. ProCyclingUK covered Premier Tech’s arrival with St Michel as part of the team’s wider expansion.
For Huot, the immediate challenge will be adapting to a stronger calendar and finding where she fits in a squad with more depth. Her time trialling gives her a clear route into specific races, but the bigger opportunity may come from using the next season to turn that engine into stronger results on selective road courses.
She will start 2027 as one of the younger riders on the roster, with St Michel clearly treating the signing as part of her development rather than expecting an instant step into a leadership role. For Huot, it is the next move in a career that has already taken her from Canadian racing into European club and Continental competition, and now into one of France’s established women’s ProTeams.
