Olivia Baril the best young rider at the Tour de Suisse

The Tour de Suisse ends with a fourth-pla of Ilaria Sanguineti and the ninth place of the general (with the white jersey) of Olivia Baril

A fourth place in the third stage with Ilaria Sanguineti and ninth place in the overall with the Canadian Olivia Baril, winner of the white jersey as best youngster.

This is the assessment of Valcar – Travel & Service at the Tour de Suisse. A high-level stage race, in which the Swiss national team also participated, and which saw Davide Arzeni’s girls run as protagonists, especially in the last two stages, the most demanding ones.

In the third fraction, arriving on the Chur tear, the Ligurian Ilaria Sanguineti took a good fourth place in the restricted sprint, following the success at Dwars door het Hageland.

Very solid performance by Olivia Baril, who at the end of the time trial of the second day put on her shoulders the white jersey reserved for the youngsters so as not to leave it until the final finish line in Lenz. A result achieved thanks to the fifteenth position in the time trial, the thirteenth position in Chur and the eighth place in the last stage, the most demanding.

A result, that of the white jersey, which was made possible also thanks to the contribution of teammates. Fundamentals Lizzie Stannard and Alice Maria Arzuffi, who escorted her uphill (closing respectively in 17th and 21st place in the overall); while Ilaria Sanguineti, Margaux Vigié and Karolina Kumiega (the last two despite being forced to retire) did an excellent job in the Vaduz circuit and in the early stages of the race.
