Paris – Roubaix : The hell of the North

The hell of the north was made up of 17 cobbled sectors or 30 kilometers, over the 119 km of the event. It will be necessary to add the rain and the wind to this first edition which will be remarkable.

All the girls gave their all in this great event.

Everything ends with the exception of Marion Colard who was unfortunately the victim of mechanical boredom at the worst of times.

Here are the words of Manon and Marion :

Manon Souyris: “I am very proud to have finished even if it was hard”

Marion Colard: “I am very disappointed to have to give up while the legs were there ..”

– Maëva Squiban tells us about her race:

“Taking part in a great classic such as Paris-Roubaix is always something special especially when it’s the 1st edition, being able to run on mythical cobbled sectors, some somewhat muddy, that we usually see on TV makes the race even more beautiful. The 1st part of the race was very nervous, there was a lot of collision, just before the 1st sector India cobblestones fell and I tried to bring it back but it was going too fast, I subsequently found small groups of 2-3 girls and we end up at 3 after the 17 cobbled sections, very far from the first but happy to have gone to the end. And finishing on the velodrome is in a way the reward of having faced all the paved areas. ”
