It makes sense for cyclists to be in relationships with other cyclists. It means you’ve always got a solid training partner and someone who understands you need to spend hours training. It’s also someone who understands that being a pro cyclist means lots of travel and time away from home. Sometimes riders may only get a day or two at home before spending many weeks in other countries.
This version of the pro cyclist couples list has a few updates. The likes of Tao Geoghegan Hart and Tadej Pogacar have won Grand Tours since 2020’s version. The odd couple has broken up and new ones have formed! The rankings like this also helps to show who is the best rider in the couple – they’re not all male-dominated!

4 – Regular winners, big names but maybe not the biggest
3 – Solid riders, maybe elite domestiques who get the odd win
2 – Up and coming, showing promise or less visible at races
1 – Very early days career-wise or a lower level pro cyclist
