This month we asked you on our social media channels if you had any questions for Juliette Labous, who has recently extended her contract with us. After returning back from a training ride before heading off to the Giro Rosa, Juliette sat down to answer our favourites!
Q: What do you like to do when you’re not riding your bike?
A: I like walking, listening to music, sometimes shopping, and spending time with my family and friends! So a lot of things basically!
Q: What’s your favourite race and why?
A: I never give the same answer to that question, it always changes. Nowadays, I would have to say Liege-Bastogne-Liege because it’s a race that suits me, and it is really iconic. I really like the area there of the Ardennes, not only for racing but also for training!
Q: What song motivates you the most when you ride?
A: That’s a tough one but I think it would have to be Back in Black by AC/DC – a classic!
Q: If you could ride only one climb for the rest of your life, which one would it be and why?
A: “Le Tanneron/ Grand duc de Mandelieu”. It’s a steady climb with a very nice sea view, and it is mostly always good weather there which is definitely a bonus!
Q: Do you do pee stops in a race? (Asked by teammate Liane Lippert)
A: Very rarely! Only when I really need too and mostly when it is going very easy. The first time I stopped the girls told me it would be easy but we ended up chasing super hard because all of a sudden the bunch went crazy (in Giro dell Emilia), so for a while I said never again…haha.
