Second week of the ‘Spanish tour’: the Clásicas de Navarra arrive (Tuesday 10th / Wednesday 11th)

One more year running at home. Two days of great enjoyment for the Movistar Team on its Navarran roads, with two tough routes that reward climbers and explosive women alike. The Clásicas de Navarra enjoy increasing recognition.

On Tuesday the 10th it will start and end where it all began: Irurtzun, headquarters of INASA / Reynolds, the team’s first sponsor. Demanding route, one of the most of the year, with 2800m of difference in altitude and 137 km in which Goñi (2nd), Ulzurrun (3rd), Uitzi (3rd), Usategieta (3rd), Saldías (2nd), Beruete will be overcome. (3rd) and two passes through Zuarrarrate (2nd), the last one just nine kilometres from the finish line.

The test on Wednesday 11 will be very similar to last year’s, focused on the ‘walls’ around the regional capital, such as the cobblestones of Artajona, and especially El Perdón, just twenty kilometres from the conclusion.
