Sheyla Gutiérrez, on the ground in La Classique Morbihan

Fall in Gallic lands

La Rioja falls in the sprint of the Breton test and will have to stay in a French medical center for the next few hours.

An unpleasant incident at the arrival of La Classique Morbihan (UCI 1.1), the first of the two tests that Movistar Team disputes this weekend in Breton lands, has forced Sheyla Gutiérrez to abandon.

La Rioja, who was contesting the arrival of Grand-Champ – Bertizzolo (LIV) won – in the main squad that was fighting for the places of honour, she fell to the ground and suffered a blow to the head and wounds to the face. Transferred to a nearby medical center, Gutiérrez, conscious and calm, must remain there for the next few hours to pass the pertinent tests and follow her evolution.

The Spanish rider will not, of course, take the start tomorrow Saturday at the Morbihan GP (UCI 1.1), where Patiño, Teruel, local Aude Biannic and Gloria Rodríguez and Jelena Erić will attack today in the last laps.
