Strade Bianche and Montinoso are the appointments of the weekend

After the trip to the streets of Belgium for the Omloop van het Hageland, the season of the Top Girls Fassa Bortolo continues this weekend with the classic Strade Bianche and the Gold Trophy in Euro in Montignoso.

For the Strade Bianche, the first Wold Tour race of the season and in fact the race that kicks off the spring classics, the selected athletes are: Greta Marturano, Debora Silvestri, Alessia Vigilia, Alice Palazzi, Giorgia Vettorello and Cristina Tonetti.

136 km to go and eight sectors of dirt road, the most insidious and decisive of which will certainly be number 5, 9 km long, the Strade Bianche is an important appointment for Lucio Rigato’s team as it is also the first appointment on the Italian calendar.

Lucio Rigato: “The Strade Bianche is one of the most fascinating races on the international calendar. The roads, the hills, the dirt roads, without forgetting the arrival in Piazza del Campo are something unique in the world and we are really happy to be able to participate in this competition again this year. We have tried to choose the most suitable girls for this race, although we are aware of the fact that the level will be, as always, very high. Our goal will be to make a good impression and possibly hit a breakaway “.

On Sunday 6 March, the Treviso team will move to Montignoso, also in Tuscany, to participate in the Gold Trophy in Euro which is now part of the UCI calendar. The route will be the classic one, with the double ascent to the climb of La Fortezza. The competing girls will be: Greta Marturano, Debora Silvestri, Alessia Vigilia, Alice Palazzi, Giorgia Vettorello, Cristina Tonetti and Iris Monticolo.
