The final race and the highlight of my trip to Belgium this Spring – the Tour of Flanders. It’s a race I’ve never been to before but knew to expect that the sheer amount of people watching would far eclipse any of the races I’d seen so far. It didn’t disappoint, the start packed out the large central square in Antwerp and the finish packed out a similar square in Oudenaarde. All along the way, at every important spot on the route, the crowd was at least 3 deep.
Niki Terpstra won the men’s race and Anna van der Breggen won the women’s – both with exciting attacks and solo finishes. Luckily I managed to capture them throughout the day too.
I’ve separated the men’s and women’s races, hover over or click on a photo to find out more.
